Relationship and Family Counselling

Most couples don't arrive in crisis.
They arrive tired.
The conversations have shrunk to logistics, the same argument keeps circling back, and somewhere along the way you stopped feeling like a team.
You don't have to wait until things are worse to ask for help.
At Hibiscus, we work with couples, families, and individuals navigating the relationships that matter most to them, together, in the same room.
In a calm, private space in Adyar and online
where you're received with kindness.

WHO WE WORK WITH
01
Couples
Married, partnered, or somewhere in between. Communication that's broken down, resentment that's built up, intimacy that's faded, trust that's been shaken. Whether you're in a hard season or a long one, there's work we can do together.
03
Before Marriage
The conversations most couples skip: money, in-laws, where you'll live, whose career bends, children, and how you'll fight. Pre-marital counselling isn't for couples in doubt. It's for couples who want to begin well.
02
Families
Parents and teenagers who've stopped talking. Joint-family friction. Siblings, in-laws, and the tensions nobody names at dinner. When one person in a family is struggling, the whole system feels it — so we work with the system.
04
Individually
Sometimes the relationship work starts with just you — a partner who won't come yet, a breakup you're carrying, or a pattern you've noticed repeating across every relationship you've had. You're welcome to start alone.

WARM SPACE, NOT A CLINIC

Couples arrive braced. Defensive, a little embarrassed, half-expecting to be judged or told who's at fault. A waiting room and fluorescent lights don't help with that.
So we don't have them.
Our sessions in Adyar happen in a warm, private, unhurried space, closer to a living room than a consulting room.
Couples tell us, often in the first ten minutes, that it feels easier than they expected.
That's not incidental. Feeling safe is where the work actually begins.
We also offer online sessions for couples outside Chennai, partners in different cities, and NRI couples working across time zones.
5
SIGNS IT MIGHT BE TIME

The same fight, on repeat
It's never really about the dishes, the phone, or who was late. If you're having one argument in twenty different costumes, there's usually something underneath it worth understanding.
You've become roommates
No fighting. No warmth either. Efficient co-managers of a household, a calendar, and a child — but not quite partners anymore.
Distance, in the room or the bed
Conversations have gone shallow. Touch has become loaded, or rare. Something that used to be easy has quietly become something you avoid.
Trust has been broken
Infidelity, a betrayal, a secret discovered. Rebuilding is slow and it isn't guaranteed but it is possible, and it's very hard to do alone.
A big change is coming, or just arrived
Marriage. A baby. A move. A parent falling ill. A career shift. Transitions put pressure on even strong relationships. Support beforehand is easier than repair afterwards.
FOR THE PARTNER WHO ISN'T SURE

If your partner booked this and you're not convinced
You're not unusual. In most couples, one person reaches out and the other agrees reluctantly, or turns up braced for an hour of being told what's wrong with them.
That's not how this works.
Nobody gets ganged up on here. We're not looking for who's at fault, because in relationships that question almost never has a useful answer. Both of you get heard. Both of you get to be right about something.
You don't have to be sure. You don't have to talk about your childhood. You just have to come once, and see how it feels.
WHAT COUPLES & FAMILIES COME TO US FOR

HOW IT WORKS
We meet, the two of you, or your family, and talk about what's been happening. No assessment forms, no verdict. Just a clearer picture of the pattern you're stuck in.
A few sessions, not one. Relationship work isn't a single conversation. Most couples see real change over a handful of sessions, and we'll be honest with you early about what that's likely to look like.
In person or online. In-person sessions happen at our Adyar space. Online sessions are available for couples anywhere, including across time zones.

Book Your Relationship Counsellors
- From 1,500 Indian rupees
- From 1,750 Indian rupees
Relationship work usually takes more than one session. Ask us about session packages when you book — most couples find it easier, and gentler on the wallet, than booking one at a time
Not sure where to start? That's normal.
Message us and tell us a little about what's going on. We'll help you work out whether to come together, or to begin on your own. +91 6382-652831
