Akshaya is a Clinical Psychologist who has completed her M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Mental Health, Chennai, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. She was a topper during her M.Phil. entrance examinations. Akshaya believes in providing a safe space so that clients can work on themselves in a nonjudgmental environment. She also believes that mental health services are a universal right and aims to make services accessible to everyone. Akshaya has worked with clients across various backgrounds and diverse mental health conditions and is deeply passionate about the mental health field. She is trained in Psychological First Aid from NCTSN, USA, attended training for Cue Centered Therapy from Stanford University USA, and Perinatal Mental Health at Postpartum Support International. Additionally, she has training in Interpersonal Social Rhythm Therapy for Bipolar Affective Disorder from IPSRT.Org. Akshaya actively contributes to mental health awareness through her articles and blogs. She also enjoys teaching and facilitating Clinical Psychology Internships. Notably, she conducted a stress management seminar at the Chennai Port for officers working at Central Industrial Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, India.
